GRAFTON, MASSACHUSETTS — President Sunil Kumar announced the construction of a detention center at the former site of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. The rural campus will soon be replaced by a multi-million dollar prison complex named “Graftanamo Bay”.
Kumar said the university will use the facility to conduct “enhanced interrogation techniques” on Tufts professors, staff members, and students with connections to other Boston universities. He was unwilling to guarantee that detainees would be charged with a crime before being placed under indefinite detention.
The announcement of the new detention camp generated significant controversy from many in surrounding communities. MIT called it a “blind rejection of Habeas corpus” while Boston College labeled it as an “overt rejection of the principles [Tufts] was founded upon. Harvard said, “Damnit! Why didn’t we think of that?!”
This announcement comes just two weeks after Tufts invaded Boston University, claiming they had “weapons of mass education”.
Kumar closed his speech with the following comment: “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our university and our students, and neither do we.”
